Perelman Students Partake in The Weitzman Museum Traveling Suitcase Program
As part of their immigration unit, third-grade students welcomed a docent from the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History through the Traveling Suitcase program. Using replica artifacts from Jewish immigrant Eva Baen, students explored her story and journey to America in the early 1900s. This engaging experience sets the stage for an upcoming visit to the Weitzman Museum, where students will see the real artifacts, meet an Eva Baen interpreter, and delve deeper into Jewish immigration.
At Perelman, rich academics and meaningful Jewish learning come together to inspire curious thinkers, compassionate leaders, and lifelong learners.
