Dual Language Advantage

One school. Two languages.
Through our unparalleled dual-language curriculum, students become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural. From Junior Kindergarten through Grade 5, children are most receptive to learning a second language. As they build proficiency in English, they can more easily follow patterns, sounds and words that help them acquire a new language. Our innovative Hebrew program is an approach that encourages authentic usage through relevant content. By incorporating music, play and human emotion, language is integrated into everyday life.

Research confirms that speaking two languages strengthens a child’s ability to solve problems, focus attention, reason creatively and process abstract information. The dual-language experience at Perelman helps children navigate a world where it is increasingly critical to communicate, work and co-exist across borders - giving students an edge in an increasingly competitive academic and professional environment. Our kids constantly switch back and forth between both languages – sorting material and choosing the right word – sharpening their cognitive functioning.

These abilities in turn enhance how our students connect, solve problems, and think – about math, reading, public speaking, even the arts. When they get to middle school, they are uniquely prepared to master additional languages using knowledge-based, 21st century skills.

Our students leave Perelman with the best of modern education and Jewish tradition; confident risk-takers who connect to their past and are ready to take on the world.
