Author Visits Perelman to Teach About Inclusion & Anti-Bullying

We had the honor of welcoming author and physical therapist, Hillary Sussman, to our school! Hillary is the author of the Adventures of Roxy series, which shares lessons about inclusion, kindness, anti-bullying, and acceptance. Students had the opportunity to ask Hillary questions about being an author and listen to her read her book, Roxy and Maliboo: It’s Okay to Be Different and Roxy and Tully: Words Matter, which teach children to be kind and that it is okay to be different. At the conclusion of the story, students got to write their own “It’s Okay to…,” which helped students learn that we should be accepting of all of our differences!
