At Perelman, education goes beyond the classroom—and this spring, our students demonstrated just that through their hands-on work in our Hoop House (greenhouse). Every grade participated in a school-wide gardening initiative that blended science, environmental stewardship, and community pride. Students engaged in every stage of the planting process: weeding, preparing garden beds, sowing seeds, and transplanting vegetables.
As the seeds they planted grow over the summer, students will return in the fall to see the fruits of their labor, reinforcing the value of patience, perseverance, and sustainability. This immersive experience illustrates the Perelman difference: where academic excellence meets meaningful, real-world application. Through projects like these, children don’t just learn about the world—they help shape it.
