Perelman Reading Olympics Teams Showcase Their Knowledge in Tournament

Shout out to the “Literacy Lovers” and “Bestsellers” — Perelman’s amazing Reading Olympics teams!

Perelman fourth and fifth graders recently participated in the Reading Olympics, competing against other elementary school teams to accurately recall details from more than two dozen books.

Our students trained for months, collaborating with their teammates to read all the books — which were specially selected by a committee of librarians, reading specialists, and teachers — and discussing them during weekly sessions.

This annual celebration of literature is just one of the many ways that we’re generating excitement and personal connection to reading — building skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
