As part of their Microscopes and Cells unit, students have been diving into the fascinating world of microscopy. They’ve learned how microscopes work and how to use them effectively, applying their skills to observe a variety of specimens—such as tardigrades (commonly known as water bears), amoebas, and paramecia. This hands-on exploration marks the beginning of a deeper investigation into cell structure, organelles, and their functions. At Perelman, academic learning is brought vividly to life through experiential activities that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful discovery across every discipline.
