Yom Hazikaron & Yom Ha’atzmaut 2024

This year, in honor of Yom Hazikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day), our 5th grade students led a moving school-wide ceremony commemorating those who lost their lives defending Israel. 

Following Yom Hazikaron, we came together to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel’s Independence Day) as a school community. Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations included Israeli dancing, tile making for our Wall of Hope, exploring Israel’s geography, making Dead Sea salt scrubs, and more! The uplifting celebrations brought a great feeling of ruach (spirit) as we celebrated Israel. 

At Perelman, our dedicated teachers inspire students to build an indelible bond with Israel that goes beyond the classroom and is carried with them as they grow and take on the world.
