Celebrating Passover

This Passover, our fifth grade students led the school in a meaningful model seder as students in each grade participated with their own unique roles. This fun and memorable way for our students to participate is a time-honored tradition for students to make it their own.

Passover learning made its way into the classroom in many ways including an integrated Jewish Studies and social studies unit in which fourth grade students explored themes of slavery and liberty from the past to present day. Students in Gan and first grade re-enacted the story of Exodus with costumes and characters while our older students created detailed dioramas of the parting of the Red Sea.

Through hands-on experiences that bring together the whole school community, our students are learning to be leaders in their own ritual lives!
