Fifth Grade Student Council Elections

Students in 5th grade ran for Student Council this month. Those running for a position created their own campaigns, wrote speeches, and delivered them in front of their peers. 

In class, students learned about how voting is both a right and a responsibility of a citizen before getting to vote in the Student Council Election themselves. Students are learning about civics in action and are demonstrating how to be strong leaders!
