Our second graders have been counting the days until summer vacation. Well, not exactly counting, more like spelling their way through the final weeks of school. With 26 days left, the class began celebrating each day's letter theme. On "D for dance party day” the class enjoyed dancing together to their favorite songs. On "K for Keepsake day" they each decorated a picture frame with a class photo in it. Earlier this week on "V for vacation day,” the students received leis and Hawaiian punch and pretended to go on a tropical vacation! Yesterday on "W for Wendy day," the students wrote thank you notes to Wendy, our principal who will be retiring this year after 31 years at Perelman.
Each day the students arrive at school excited to see what the day will bring! What a clever way to keep children engaged at the end of a long and challenging year. Our teachers are A for Amazing!
