Perelman Jewish Day School
Philadelphia’s only Hebrew-immersive pre-K is now offering an instructional swim program as part of its innovative early-childhood program. Ganon students participate in weekly swim lessons at the neighboring Kaiserman JCC accompanied by their teachers and instructed by 4 certified lifeguard / swim instructors. This addition to Perelman’s Ganon curriculum is the latest in a number of program enhancements, including the recent addition of a beautiful, state-of-the-art classroom and playground specially designed for pre-K students on Perelman’s Wynnewood-based Stern Center campus.
According to the Talmud (Kiddushin 29a), a parent is obligated to teach their child to swim. This is intended to help a child grow into a successful and independent adult. Swim instruction is yet another way that education at Perelman focuses on the whole child, inspiring confidence, competence, and caring.
Perelman Jewish Day School is currently accepting applications for its 2020-21 Ganon. For more information, please contact Mindy Zukin Andelman, Director of Admission and Enrollment, 610-658-2518 x 207
