The Million Dollar Project challenges our Forman Center fourth grade students to save at least $75,000 for college while managing other household expenses. Students are instructed to purchase a house for no more than $500,000, take one family vacation with all expenses included, buy one car, make one charitable donation, and put no less than $5,000 into a savings account. They research costs, write checks for purchases, and keep track of their budgets. A wonderful way for our students to enhance math skills while relating the lesson to real-life experiences. Innovative teaching – empowering our students for the future!
