Working together to create community rules and expectations

"Before you speak, think and be smart, it’s hard to mend a wrinkled heart."

Our Darchay No’ahm lessons have begun. Perelman Jewish Day School has a unique curriculum geared towards our students’ social and emotional welfare. The themes for the year are based on values that create and nourish the individual, the group and the community.

  1. Community Rules and Expectations
  2. Empathy/Kindness
  3. Character Development/Self Expression
  4. Problem Solving/Conflict Resolution
  5. Differences/Diversity/Perspective
  6. Self-Regulation/Management of Emotions/Mindfulness

Through a series of lessons the six themes will be addressed through an examination of developmentally appropriate questions for each grade.
