Forty Perelman parents and grandparents gathered this week for the First Annual PTO Challah Bake. Rabbi Chaim Galfand and Forman teacher Gili Bitan ran this special evening focused on the art of baking challah. Gili guided the group through the preparation and baking process while Rabbi Chaim helped us brainstorm deeper meanings for each of the ingredients. We shared and learned together, reflecting on the traditions and mitzvot behind making challah each week for Shabbat.
Each participant went home with two braided challot to be baked at home. We’re looking forward to a peaceful and delicious Shabbat!
