Submit an application
An application begins the process for your child to enroll for the following school year. Applications are accepted in the fall of the year before entrance. Please submit your application by Thanksgiving of the prior school year.
An Application includes:

  • A copy of the child's birth certificate
  • Enrollment Application completed by the family

Please give your child's teacher the enclosed form and return envelope. The information provided is treated confidentially and is used for admission purposes only.
  • $50.00 non refundable processing fee

Screening

Students entering Grade 1 take the WPPSII, a psycho-educational evaluation commonly used for school entrance.

Students entering Grade 2 through 5 take the WISC-III. Drs. Davida Harlem and Janet Marcus administer the screenings for all centers, or you may choose a licensed psychologist of your choice. There is a fee for the evaluation. Families pay the psychologist at the time of the screening.

These screenings are used for admission purposes only and do not become part of the child's school record.

Please call to arrange your child's appointment:

  • Gan
Students entering Gan (Kindergarten) are scheduled to visit a Gan classroom with other applicants. The in-house screening lasts an hour and a half and gives the school and students the opportunity to begin to get to know one another. While children visit in Gan, parents are invited to meet informally with administrators, teachers, and current parents. Late applicants who miss the scheduled playdates are required to have a psychoeducational evaluation by a licensed psychologist.

  • Grade 1
Students entering First Grade are scheduled for a group visit with other applicants. Please note this visit does not take the place of a screening.

  • Grades 2-5
Students entering grades Two through Five are asked to spend two days visiting in a classroom. During their visit, students participate in all classroom activities. They also meet with the Reading, Mathematics, and Judaic Studies specialists. Please note, this visit does not take the place of the screening.

Tuition Assistance
Families may apply for Tuition Assistance after the student application is submitted to the school. Enrollment deposits are only refundable in the event that Tuition Assistance arrangements cannot be concluded successfully. Please refer to the Tuition Assistance page in this packet for additional information.

Admission
Admission decisions are made when the application process is complete. Families who have completed the admission process by March 15th are notified of their child's acceptance by April 1st. Applications completed after March 15th are considered as space is available.
